Chamber Reveals Programing for Small Business Week

October 2, 2014

(Kapuskasing) – The Kapuskasing & District Chamber of Commerce (KDCC), in collaboration with the Town of Kapuskasing, is preparing for the upcoming local activities surrounding BDC Small Business WeekTM and invites the business community to join the rest of the country in celebrating, which will take place from October 19-25, 2014.

Many learning activities and networking activities will take place during Kapuskasing’s 2nd annual Small Business Week, such as an informational breakfast with funding agencies and banks; a social media lunch & learn; a presentation on The Art of Powerful Conversations with special guest and motivational speaker Stuart Knight, and last but not least, the 24th Annual KDCC Business Awards Gala (B.A.G.). For every event attended, participants have a chance of winning $250 worth of BIA Bucks!

The awards ceremony will be hosted by critically acclaimed author and award-winning entrepreneur, Stuart Knight. Throughout the evening, Mr. Knight will share his expertise on how to build relationships that matter, build teams that succeed, how to create loyalty and build trust, and how to know your customer the way they want to be known. Early-bird registrants have a chance of getting pampered prior to the Business Awards Gala: a manicure, a pedicure and hair styled for women; or a hot shave and hair styled for men.

The Kapuskasing Small Business Week is brought to you by the efforts and collaboration of the Kapuskasing & District Chamber of Commerce, the Kapuskasing Economic Development Corporation, North Claybelt CFDC, the Downtown BIA, the Business Enterprise Centre, the Productivity and Innovation Centre, the Ontario Network of Entrepreneurs and Canada Business Ontario.

The Chamber of Commerce took advantage of the Business After Hours / Small Business Week launch to unveil its new logo, created by a local graphic design firm, JT&Co.
