Communications and Economic Development Intern (2 year contract)

Job Description: The Kapuskasing & District Chamber of Commerce (KDCC) is a non-profit, member-driven organization which is governed by a Board of Directors, who uses feedback and input from its 200+ members and other community organizations to ensure that it continues to build a strong business climate through networking, information sharing, member programs and advocacy.

The KDCC is currently looking for a Communications and Economic Development Intern to join our team! By the end of the internship, the intern will have completed a Certificate in Economic Development with the University of Waterloo and the Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC).


  • University or college graduate who has graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university with a degree or diploma in Commerce with a concentration in Marketing or in Communications

  • Must also possess sales, social media and economic development skills

  • Bookkeeping experience is not required but will be considered as an asset

  • Intern must communicate in both official languages to fill the needs of the membership.


The position will be a first full-time employment in the candidate’s field of study.
